IWSS Strategy Workshop 2026

The workshop will bring together a group of committed multipliers and key actors in Wadden Sea education to jointly shape the future development of the IWSS programme.

As the current funding agreement comes to an end in 2026, the workshop will focus on developing a strategic concept and work programme for the next funding period (2027–2030). The outcomes of the workshop will form the basis for a proposal to continue the trilateral core funding of IWSS activities over the coming four years.

We would like to bring together a diverse group of participants with different perspectives and experiences — including both long-standing contributors and newer colleagues engaged in Wadden Sea education and networking. We are especially looking for participants who are interested in strategic development and who can contribute ideas, regional perspectives, and future-oriented visions for the IWSS.

The workshop will provide space to:

• reflect on the achievements and experiences of the IWSS so far,
• identify future priorities and opportunities,
• discuss regional needs and cooperation,
• and jointly develop ideas for the strategic direction of the programme for 2027–2030.
